ASRY is working towards being the Middle East hub for environmentally-conscious vessel recycling, with a series of global standard certifications achieved (see below), and international partners collaborating to bring vessels from green-minded owners that share our commitment to responsible end-of-life vessel management.
Achieving compliance with the three highest global environmentally-conscious ship recycling certifications - the Hong Kong Convention, European Union Ship Recycling Regulation and IS0 30000 - is the latest step in the programme, in collaboration with the Netherlands-based Elegant Exit Company (EEC), to be able to offer certified best practice green steel recycling. Together, the two firms are aiming to pioneer vessel recycling in the Arabian Gulf at ASRY, by complying with the highest ship recycling standards.
