The Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY) organized its fourth annual raft race this year on its beachfront, drawing over a hundred competitors from among its staff and contractors. This year’s event also welcomed teams from Civil Defense, SULB and Bahrain Steel, each of which joined with one team in this year’s edition of the championship.
The contest played out over three rounds, ending in favor of the team ASRY Blasting and Painting who led the race ahead of the team Premator Gulf which came in second place, while the team Siyana secured third place.
At the close of the race, ASRY’s CEO, Dr Ahmed Al Abri, handed the trophy to the winning side and presented medals to all three top teams. He also praised the organizing team who made the event a success, commending their hard work and attention to detail, which allowed the race to unfold impeccably. Dr. Al Abri concluded his remarks by applauding the standard of the competing teams and the sporting spirit shown by all those who took part, valuing the great support from fans of water sports who showed enthusiastic encouragement for their favorite teams
