The Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY) recently welcomed groups of Gulf University students for two consecutive site visits to its facilities, strengthening the working relationship between the two parties. The initiative is part of ASRY’s commitment to supporting students from Bahrain’s educational and training institutions.

The first visit focused on the Mechanical and Electrical Department, where students were given a detailed insight into daily operations. Hameed Abdulla, Mechanical Supervisor at the department, provided a thorough overview of its activities, along with the safety measures in place to ensure safe working conditions for all.

The second visit brought in media studies students, aiming to give them a clearer understanding of the important role communications play within major industrial companies. The session was led by Ms. Fatema Al Majid, ASRY’s Corporate Communications Manager, who gave a presentation titled “Media and Communications in Major Industrial Companies”.

These visits are part of ASRY’s aim to establish informative and academic links with Bahrain’s educational and training institutions, emphasizing the values of community partnership with institutions of civil society.
