ASRY Conducts ISPS Combined Exercise to Bolster Security Readiness

The Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY) recently conducted an International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) safety exercise in cooperation with several security authorities under the Bahraini Ministry of Interior. The exercise aimed to strengthen ASRY’s security preparedness and enhance its response to different emergency situations. It also serves to maintain a safe working environment for all employees and visitors while upholding the highest safety and security standards across the company’s facilities.

Mr. Mahmood Abdulaziz, ASRY’s Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) Manager, said in his remarks about the drill: ‘This regular exercise is intended to refine the team’s skills and reinforce its security readiness by employing simulated real-life, scenario-based training, so that staff are well prepared to handle varied risks and deal with emergencies efficiently and professionally.’ He added: ‘We value the strong involvement of the security authorities in Bahrain whose direct participation helped carry out the drill and meet its aims. Their contribution strengthen safety and security measures and elevates joint field work to higher levels of coordination and effectiveness.’

ASRY holds this drill on a regular basis to deepen integration and improve coordination between security teams from different institutions in the Kingdom. By aligning work concepts and procedures and fostering the exchange of expertise, the company seeks to raise performance and build the skills needed to handle any future risks with full readiness and professionalism.
