Warehousing

ASRY has invested a large amount in warehousing materials and spare parts to be used for ship repair and the Yard’s activities.

Maintaining and replenishing of stock supported by computerised accounting system ensures the availability of stock at an uninterrupted level and smooth functioning of our operation.

A minimum stock of 9,000 tons of shipbuilding steel of various grades / sizes and 25,000 tonnes of grit for the ship repair activities are kept controlled at all the time in order to avoid any disruption of work.

Regular inventory and review of stock are being conducted in order to maintain a proper balance of stock.

The warehouse building covers an area of 5,000 sqm with its controlled stores for special items’ and 7,8000 sqm of storage area for material which consists of more than 9,000 items necessary for the Yard’s production activities, such as steel plates, pipes, fittings, marine cables, anodes, etc. to ensure availability of stock at all the times.
