Bahrain Bahrain F1 Map of Bahrain

The “Kingdom of Bahrain” is a group of islands (Archipelago) situated in the Gulf and linked to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by a causeway.

Bahrain literally means two seas (Arabic) and refers to fresh-water springs that can be found within the sea surrounding it.

Historically, Bahrain was in the heart of evolution which was inherited from the Babylon and Dilmun civilizations.

Bahrain has a blend of ancient tradition and contemporary developments where old shops and houses, new shopping malls, five star hotels & restaurants, international circuit (Formula 1), horse racing track, traditional coffee places & modern coffee shops, narrow streets and modern roads, international cuisines and many more are side by side. In addition, there are many traditional aspects of life which are still an integral part of the daily routine including characteristic Bahraini clothing, hospitality, greetings, coffee drinking, hubble-bubble, pipe smoking and various crafts. Large communal structures such as Arad Fort and Qala’at al Bahrain (which has been listed by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site) are landmarks of a modern nation. Perhaps Bahrain’s most important monument is Al-Khamis Mosque.

Being a liberal country, Bahrain is a major tourist destination where increasing number of tourists from all over the world are frequently spending their holidays.

Bahrain is one of the fastest growing economies in the Middle East as well as one of the world’s fastest growing financial centres. The recently opened Financial Harbour and the twin World Trade Centre will further enhance Bahrain’s economy. Bahrain can offer much more to the world.
